Anyone who wants to pull out that broad brush and paint the people of Arizona with it needs to head up to Flagstaff, have a cup of coffee, and take a deep breath. There is good and bad everywhere.

So, under Clinton we had a pay as you go plan that resulted in a surplus budget. Then under Bush that went away and both the size of government and spending skyrocketed.

PappaDave: there are plenty here in America living in abject poverty, yet we send more aide to allies than we spend to feed and house them. Are we a Christian nation? What were Christ's commands? Who are we to set the limits for those commands at our borders?

Hey Scott- Just to be clear, I spent 22.5 years in the military serving this country...and I don't mind one bit that other people wish to be here so much that they risk life and limb to do so.

chris-1189701- YEAH...like all those Irish folk, or that wave from China...taking all our jobs building those railroads. There was all those people from Africa just coming over to steal our agriculture jobs too.
